Was our last practice a bit on the damp side? If so, your cleats will likely need some special care. It's one of my pet-peeves actually. After a practice like the one on Friday, it's likely your cleats were pretty damp... maybe even *wet*. You come home, throw your bag in the corner of the garage, then over the weekend, your garage heats up. You grab your bag and head for practice, opening it up field-side in front of all of us. Thanks a lot! You just raised the pollution level 10 levels! We forge on. I was as frustrated as you probably were when I heard, at 6pm or so, that the Athletic Director and Coach at Oldham County had called off the games. It's my hypothesis that they were worried about lightning, field conditions, and standing out in a downpour for 3 hours. On the one hand, I wanted to say, "Hey... this is what we get for choosing an outdoor sport. Let's do this!"
